Rodney L. Johnson, M.D., CEO

Subspecialty: Angiography & Interventional Radiology

Dr. Rod Johnson, a native of the Nebraska sandhills, is the CEO and co-founder of Plains Radiology Services, P.C. Dr. Johnson completed his undergraduate training at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln under the Bachelor of Science degree program in Zoology. He then earned a Master of Science in Physiology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where he also completed his Medical Doctorate, an internship year, diagnostic radiology residency and fellowship. The emphasis of his fellowship was interventional radiology and sectional imaging, including magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography and ultrasound.

At the culmination of his fellowship, Dr. Johnson and his family moved to Kearney where he engaged in hospital-based private practice before forming Plains Radiology Services, P.C. His professional achievements include the establishment of interventional and angiography services, as well as magnetic resonance imaging services at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. As a co-founder and previous owner of Kearney Imaging Center, Dr. Johnson is a knowledgeable resource on imaging center operations and management.

In addition to promoting the field of telemedicine, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, woodworking and the arts.

 

lee jeffrey

Jeffrey P. Lee, M.D., President

Subspecialty: Neuroradiology

Dr. Jeff Lee is the President and co-founder of Plains Radiology Services, P.C. Dr. Lee began his undergraduate training at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu and finished at Creighton University in Omaha under the Bachelor of Science Degree program in Biology. He obtained his Medical Doctorate in the Philippines at the Emilio Aquinaldo College of Medicine in 1983.

Dr. Lee served 2 residencies at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, West Virginia; the first in internal medicine, and the other in diagnostic radiology.  Following the completion of his second residency, Dr. Lee and his wife moved to Kearney where he engaged in hospital-based private practice. In 1999, he was awarded a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology by the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Lee was a co-founder and previous owner of Kearney Imaging Center, where he served as the center’s Medical Director prior to forming Plains Radiology Services, P.C.

Outside of the office, Dr. Lee enjoys spending time with his wife and children, cooking, pistol shooting, skeet shooting, hunting trips and searching for that elusive buck.

lamphiear andrea

Andrea G. Lamphiear, M.D.

General Radiologist

Dr. Andrea Lamphiear earned her undergraduate degree from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. In 2006, she obtained her Medical Doctorate from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City.

After an internship year in preliminary internal medicine at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu, Dr. Lamphiear returned to her home state to begin her diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. In 2010, Dr. Lamphiear moved to Florida to complete her residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where her husband was stationed as a naval aviator.

Dr. Lamphiear now resides in California with her husband and son, Max. When she isn’t working, Dr. Lamphiear enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and water sports.

 

Stemm

Richard A. Stemm, II, M.D.

Subspecialty: Musculoskeletal Radiologist

Dr. Rich Stemm, a native of Omaha, Nebraska, earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. In 2006, he obtained his Medical Doctorate from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

After a transitional year at the University of North Dakota in Fargo, Dr. Stemm returned to Nebraska for his diagnostic radiology residency at UNMC. Following his residency, Dr. Stemm completed a musculoskeletal (MSK) fellowship there, which focused on imaging of bone and joint abnormalities including orthopedic, rheumatologic and traumatic conditions.

Dr. Stemm has also received training in international infectious disease and wilderness emergency medicine. Outside of the office, his interests include foreign travel, computer assembly, tennis, golf, cycling and water sports.
