CE Opportunity: Acute Stroke - CT Workup

PRS is working with Stronger Links Medical Imaging Education to bring you quarterly education opportunities via webinar. The format for this 2-hour CE opportunity is a pre-recorded video session that will be available to complete within a designated time frame over the week of June 26th - 30th. This means that you can still earn CE credit, even if you can't be at your computer for a straight 2-hour block of time to view the webinar in a single session.

Acute Stroke - CT Workup Webinar Objectives & Activity Instructions

  1. Review basic brain anatomy clinically relevant to the CT technologist in stroke scenarios.
  2. Identify a stroke:
    • Define the term ‘stroke’.
    • Understand clinical symptoms associated with stroke.
    • Describe the differences between hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes, and their treatments.
  3. List the imaging goals in evaluating suspected stroke
  4. Discuss why CT is the modality of choice for evaluating suspected stroke.
  • Each registrant will be emailed a link to the content video.
  • Each registrant will view the video, then send a response to Stronger Links stating they have viewed the video and are ready for the post-test.
  • Stronger Links will email the post-test and answer sheet to each registrant who confirmed having viewed the video.  The post-test is to be printed, completed, and returned via email to Stronger Links.
  • The post-tests will be graded and returned to the participant.  If the participant passed, a certificate will also be emailed. The ASRT requires a passing score of at least 75% or higher to issue credit.  If a participant attempts a post-test three times and is unable to achieve a passing score, credit cannot be issued.
  • Each participant will also receive a satisfaction survey for this CEU experience.  Completion of the survey is not attached to receiving credit, however, it would be greatly appreciated!

Registration is limited and due by June 16th! To register online, please visit:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QKJHFKT
