WEEKLY NEWSLETTER FRIDAY, JUNE 30th, 2017

Happy Independence Day!

For those of you working over this extended holiday weekend, we've got your back (or c-spine)! We ask that you please help us ensure prompt turn-around times by submitting your studies with the appropriately categorized urgency. The difference between patient statuses is vitally important to delivering reports in the most timely manner. As a reminder, please reserve STAT submissions for life-threatening situations only.

Also, there is no difference in the turn-around time for a STAT call vs. a STAT draft; the written report for each should be available within 30 minutes.

We also ask that you please help us expedite the interpretation of STATs by notifying us when you are sending exams:

  1. Push images & send paperwork to PRS / submit RIS entry
  2. Call the Imaging Services office at 308-865-2231

If exam is for a trauma or CT head for possible stroke, please be sure to mention this as well.
