What to Expect
Plains Radiology Services provides teleradiology interpretation for hospitals and clinics across the Midwest. If your healthcare provider has referred you for imaging at a facility that partners with PRS, here's what you can expect.
Your imaging study — whether it's an X-ray, CT scan, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine exam, or mammogram — will be performed by the technologists at your local facility. The images are then transmitted to our team of board-certified radiologists for expert interpretation.
Our radiologists generate a detailed report and deliver it promptly to your ordering physician. Turnaround times are a priority for PRS — your doctor will receive the results quickly so they can advise you on next steps.
Your doctor orders imaging
Your referring physician orders an X-ray, MRI, CT, or other imaging exam at a partnering facility.
Imaging performed locally
A trained technologist at your local hospital or clinic performs the exam.
Images transmitted to PRS
Your images are securely transmitted to our radiologists for expert interpretation.
Report delivered to your doctor
Our radiologist's report is delivered promptly to your referring physician, who will share the results with you.
Billing
Billing Information
As a teleradiology provider, Plains Radiology Services bills separately from the facility where your imaging was performed. You may receive separate bills from the imaging facility and from PRS for the radiologist's professional interpretation fee.

Understanding Your Bill
Why did I receive a bill from Plains Radiology Services?
You received a bill from PRS because one of our radiologists interpreted your imaging study. This is a professional fee, separate from any fees charged by the facility where the exam was performed.
Can I pay by mail?
Yes. Payments can be mailed to: Plains Radiology Services, PC, P.O. Box 2435, Kearney, NE 68848.
Do you offer payment plans?
We understand healthcare bills can be unexpected. Please contact our billing department at 308-218-5610 to discuss payment plan options.
A Simpler Way to Pay Your Bill
We've made paying your balance faster and easier. If you have a balance, you'll receive a text with a personal secure link that opens your bill directly, with no login or account needed. From there you can pay in full, pay part of your balance, combine multiple bills into one payment, or set up a payment plan over 3, 6, or 12 months. The page also explains what insurance covered and why you owe what you do, and you can still reach your existing patient portal from there.
What to expect: You'll receive a few reminder texts, followed by one paper statement in the mail. You then have 90 days from your statement to pay before a balance is sent to collections. Making a payment or setting up a plan stops that process.

We accept Nebraska and Kansas Medicaid.

Most major commercial plans accepted.
